About this work

The object, largely made of sheet metal, consists of a basin on cast feet. The top features a stamped and sawn ornament with a rosette in the center and symmetrical scrolling work radiating from four bosses in the corners. The bottom has a rosette within a star with leaf forms stamped into it. The feet are surrounded by stamped bosses. An eye with a ring is riveted to the right upright side; this part is broken off on the other side. The drawer and door are missing.
