About this work

Table with a fixed top and two folding side leaves, made of olive wood; the entirely oval top lies loose on the stand by means of 2 (originally 4) pegs; the leaves are each attached to the central leaf with 3 leaf-shaped sawn brass hinges. The rectangular stand rests on 4 turned legs with bulbous joints, connected by straight, finely profiled stretchers; 2 legs are sawn vertically into 2 halves; they can be unfolded at three leaf-shaped sawn hinges.
