About this work
Spectacles with a frame of copper and blond tortoiseshell and round ground glass. Model: the high and wide bridge is built up from a number of curls and ends in a symmetrical form with two screws on the tortoiseshell edge. The symmetrical end also serves as a connection and closure for the tortoiseshell edges, which are open at the top. The arms extend from the glasses and have a hinge halfway. They end with round discs of blond tortoiseshell. Decoration: a butterfly-like representation is engraved in the symmetrical form. The glasses are provided with a ground edge all around.
