About this work

Fragment of a stoneware jug on a high foot with a cylindrical body. The upper half of the jug is missing. Some profiles on the foot and covered with a brown engobe. On the belly a wide band with in relief a stamped and applied decoration of men or soldiers standing under arches. Divided over the arches the inscription 'DIT IS DIE WACHT VAN AMDERDAM' and 'EE HH'. Raeren.
