About this work

Conical foot. Twisted, baluster-shaped stem with some red and gold spirals and two discs. Oval, eight-lobed bowl with two broad and six narrow lobes. On the bowl, on the broad lobes, a bird with spread wings among floral and leafy scrolls; on the narrow lobes vertical bandwork between two leafy scrolls. This type of glass was mainly used for serving sweets.
