About this work
The king (crowned in 1786), turned in profile to the left, wears a queue with a bow and, under an armor with lining, a shirt whose collar is still visible. Over his back and shoulder, a mantle with an order insignia. On the cut surface of the left arm, the signature with the combined initials of both first names JH and fully SCHEPP fec. 1784.
