About this work
Tiles depicting ships in blue and purple. Together with BK-NM-11131-4 formed the back panel of a fireplace mantel (wooden parts: BK-NM-11131-1; marble parts: BK-NM-11131-2). For display purposes, the tiles have been supplemented with 21 white tiles. Originating from the building of the former West India Company in Amsterdam.
