Chased silver box with the portrait of Zoutman, standing figure, half-length, in an oval. Dressed in a uniform jacket and the Doggersbank medal on a chain on the chest. On the right side a female figure with an anchor and on the left sailing ships. On the left side the Dutch Maiden, standing, with a spear bearing the liberty cap and a shield with a bundle of arrows. On the back: Religio, standing female figure with a cross. On the bottom three rose branches. On the lid Christ and the Samaritan woman at the well. Mark inside: coat of arms of Amsterdam and letters.
