About this work

Writing cabinet of oak, decorated with inlay of rosewood. The front is closed by a drop-leaf, on which in the center is an ebony triangle containing the year 1628. Open, the furniture shows, above an arched open space, a cupboard door and drawers veneered with teak and rosewood. The knobs are of ebony. The cabinet rests on a stand consisting of a wide oak frame supported by column feet, connected by a cross.
