About this work

A forged iron cross (from a tower spire or roof ridge) on a fork, around which a conical iron cap (?). The stem is decorated with various forged curls, the cross point forged out into a diamond, within which a clover leaf. The cross arms end in a fleur-de-lis. The spike is thin and round forged as a spindle for a weather vane. The weather vane is missing.
