About this work

Strip of natural-colored sun lace (needle lace): Tenerife lace. The repeating pattern consists of a strip-filling circular motif, with a border consisting of linked small circles. On the short strip stand three of these 'suns', separated from each other by an X-shaped motif, made with two thick thread bundles. The motifs are connected by a hexagonal mesh ground. One short side and both long sides are finished straight, with some remnants of an arch border visible. One short side is unfinished.
