About this work

Tabula in linen warp and wool weft. On a purple ground, a square in the center with a natural-colored woven cross in the middle, surrounded by four octagons with composite crosses. Around this, two borders with a braided motif and a continuous circular motif. All in flying thread technique. The tabula is composed of two fragments joined at right angles, possibly from one object.
