About this work

Ochre-colored linen textile fragment with woven pattern in dark blue wool of a square containing a diamond. On two sides of the square, a half-circle from which a twisted line emerges. Square, diamond and half-circles filled with a large leaf motif detailed in floating thread technique. The whole surrounded by a scalloped border. The clavus has a border with a scalloped frame within which decoration of flower vases, medallions and foliage, the details of which are also in floating thread technique. The orbiculus is more finely woven than the clavus.
