About this work

Fragment of the bottom of a bowl, with a thick lapis blue glaze and with a symmetrical ornament of lily-shaped floral scrolls. The outside also blue glazed. Shows in the center of the bottom an Arabic letter (?). Gray-yellow clay. The fragment was found in Cairo.
