About this work
Fragment of a bowl of quartz-fritware. Gray-yellow sherd on a white engobe. On the bottom a flowering plant in a medallion in red and blue, with black outlines are painted. On the inner wall a band with braiding in the same colors. Outside a design of oval interlocking black lines along the blue rim. The foot is unglazed. The fragment was found in Cairo.
