About this work

Fragment of a bowl of quartz fritware with a white engobe and glazed. Inside, two knights facing each other on a blue and brown ground, flanking a tree. All in brown-red, blue, and black. The outlines are black. The foot is unglazed. The fragment was found in Cairo.
