About this work

Fragment of a plate of quartz-fritware with a white engobe and a thick glaze. Around the circular center, in which a three-lobed flower is carved in a dark blue field, stands a decoration of radial compartments, alternately filled in blue and black-gray with floral scrolls and geometric motifs. On the back an Arabic inscription. The fragment was found in Cairo.
