Fragment of a tunica

Fragment of a tunic with sewn-on decorations consisting of two tabulae, two clavi, and two wide bands sewn together. The sewn-on parts have different decorations. Tabulae: dark blue ground with two red riders with nimbus and raised hand in a circle with leafy vines. Clavi: red ground with a repeating motif of staggered flower branches in red, orange, blue, yellow, and green on a dark blue ground in an oval. Between them, a garland line with white dots, along one side a border with white line motifs. Wide bands: Dark blue ground with a diamond-shaped garland motif with alternating a circle and an octagon containing a stylized motif. In the underlying weave, three stripes are woven at nine places using a thicker weft.
