About this work
Linen fabric fragment with a woven color-on-color pattern of mainly squares obtained by weaving the weft threads in diagonal and wavy directions. Scattered across the fabric are small woven galons that enliven the appearance. Between them, a row of nine squares in green lines, above which are three green vertical motifs. Two horizontal bands of wavy and vertical line motifs (Kufic script or figures?), one light motif on a dark ground, the other with a dark-outlined motif on a light ground.
