About this work
Drop-leaf table, 'flap on the wall', of oak wood with a round foldable top. The legs are placed in a spread position and show vase-shaped joints in the lower half and long housings with flutes in the upper half. The lower part of these flutes is filled with ebony. The cross rails and the stile show punched volutes, leaf edges and rosettes with round and square inlays of ebony. The decoration, like that of the legs, is applied on only one side.
