About this work

Cap tippet of natural-colored needle lace: Venetian relief lace. Model with a rounded end. The pattern consists of randomly arranged coral vines with small flowers and leaves and here and there relief roses with sewn-on thick cords with picots. The motifs are made with festoon stitches and sparsely applied decorative stitches. The motifs are connected to each other with few bars; this irregular bar ground is decorated with picots. Along three sides the cap tippet is finished with a scalloped edge.
