About this work

Strip of natural-colored linen batiste with three bands of lace embroidery; a square network created by drawn threads serves as the ground for an embroidered pattern. This creates one wide band in the linen between two narrower bands. The wide band features a continuous pattern of wavy grapevines with grape clusters. The narrower bands have a running pattern with a spiral.
