About this work

Round plate of hard-baked earthenware. The plate has a black overprint with flower branches on the rim and a bacchanalian feast on the flat. In a landscape, a figure sits on a stag with an angel on either side. The plate is marked: WS & CO 3 QUEENSWARE STOCKTON 4 and BACCHUS W S CO NO 80.
