Compass of brass and iron

The object consists of two legs, which are provided at the ends with a wrought iron point and are riveted together at the other end. There they have on one side a pointer and on the other side a slide, with which they are attached to the rod. In the slide the letters FK are engraved. The rod has an elongated rectangular opening, along which six scales are engraved and in which a second slide is mounted to read the measurements. On the upper end of the rod a more or less oval handle is brazed, which, due to the details, presumably had a measuring function. Below the handle a small hook is riveted. On the lower end of the rod the straight connecting parts with the legs of the compass are riveted. On these parts eight scales are engraved. On one of the legs of the compass, at the top and bottom, two elongated square-in-cross-section sights are brazed, which have round holes lengthwise to look through.
