About this work
Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace: old Flemish lace. In triangular shells stands a symmetrical pattern consisting of a hanging vase with a four-lobed rosette flower inside. The flower is surrounded by fan-shaped flowers that form the lobed edge of the shells. The motifs are made in linen stitch with openwork edges and are connected by a sparse plaited ground. The top of the strip is finished with a separately bobbin lace strip. The shell edge along the bottom is finished with picots.
