About this work
Porcelain cup with a C-shaped handle, painted on the glaze in pink (camaïeu) and gold. On the outer wall a representation of Venus and Amor in a landscape. Venus lies under a tree, while Amor points to the arrow in his hand. The scene has gold rocailles at the bottom. Around the scene the wall is decorated with scattered flowers. Gold foot and rim. The inner side of the rim with a decorative band. Leaf motifs and dots on the handle. Marked on the underside with the crowned CT followed by 6 and 20.
