About this work

Soft-paste porcelain cup (pâte tendre) with a straight, tapering wall and C-shaped handle, painted in enamel colors and gold. On the outer wall a landscape with a couple sitting on a rock. The man has a birdcage on his lap, which the woman is looking at. Leaf motifs on the handle and a blue line on the rim. Worn golden rim. Crack in the wall. Marked on the underside with DV.
