About this work

Porcelain cup with cylindrical body and C-shaped handle, painted on the glaze in blue, red, green, black, and gold. The outer wall features a band with a head wearing a winged helmet, flanked by two hexagonal compartments with two griffins by a fountain. Above and below this decoration: bands with floral scrolls. Gilded bands above the foot and on the rim. The interior and handle are covered in gold. Marked on the underside with 83.
