Cup with a mythological scene

Large cup of soft-paste porcelain (pâte tendre) with a cylindrical wall and C-shaped handle, painted on the glaze in black and gold. On the outer wall an octagonal panel containing a mythological scene belonging to the inscription 'LESPIA[?] NOURIASSANT L'AMOUR' on the underside. The scene shows a woman kneeling in a landscape with a putto at her breast. Behind her an anchor. The panel interrupts two decorative bands with flower vines and garlands. Below them scattered flowers. Above the foot, the rim and the handle are covered with gold.
