About this work

Vase of porcelain with an egg-shaped body, two high, curled handles, and a high, profiled foot ending in a square plinth. Painted on the glaze in blue, red, pink, green, yellow, purple, and gold. The vase is covered in gold, except for a few lines. On the belly, a broad gold band with two engraved decorative bands, between which are hourglass-shaped compartments with floral scrolls. Between these, cut-out medallions with bouquets. On the shoulder and above the foot, a leaf scroll cut out in blue. The handles are in the form of a floral scroll, with a rosette in the curl. The foot and vase are connected by an iron pin.
