About this work

Mother-of-pearl mount with 18 non-connected ribs with Rococo ornaments inlaid in "quatre couleurs". The staves of the support part are of carved ivory. On the outer ribs, one cartouche with needle lace. Leaf of Brussels needle lace (point à l'aiguille de Bruxelles or point de gaze de Bruxelles) with flowers and leaves. Copper fan ring and locking pin.
