Strip of Gold Lace with Fan and Cross Between Crossing Threads

Strip of bobbin lace, gold lace. The repeating pattern is formed by two bundles of three gold threads lying side by side, which cross each other and thereby create a surface division of different shapes. In the fields motifs are made in form stroke, including a cross, a fan, rectangles and v-shapes. The motifs and the top edge are made with thinner filé threads. The top and bottom of the strip are more or less straight finished. The motifs are partly connected to each other by a mesh ground, a buttonhole lattice ground.
