Sample card of natural-colored bobbin lace with coarse thread as an example of a diamond-shaped mesh ground, worked in zigzag lines and used in Eastern European laces and also seen in Milanese laces. Accompanying the sample card is a matching fragment of lace in which this technique is applied. The dating concerns the sample card.
