Cooking pot

Cooking pot of bronze. The body has a casting seam near the handles and is spherical, though slightly flattened. It has a thickening at the bottom, which arose as a result of the casting technique. This is formed by a round casting hole with two sets of three radial casting ribs. The transition from body to neck is smooth. The rim has a relatively sharp edge at the top and slopes outwards. The pot stands on three hexagonal legs, of which the inner side takes up the entire width. These appear to have been attached later. They end in seven-sided feet, of which the inner side also takes up the entire width. The handles, lying in line with each other, were probably attached later. They are rounded with sharp corners and polygonal in cross-section. On the outer sides they have a faint ornament consisting of a winding vine with turned-back leaves. At the attachment of one of the handles there is a piece of iron that originally belonged to the handle.
