About this work

Fragment of a pipe bowl with portraits of (possibly) Prince William V and Frederica Sophia Wilhelmina of Prussia; on the bowl stem side a caricatured head with below it the letters VP and on a ribbon VIVAT ORANIE and a standing Dutch lion with spear in the Holland Garden. From the excavations at Hofstede Arentsburg 1827-1831 under the supervision of Professor Reuvens.
