About this work

Hat with crown of black silk, crêpe de Chine, brim of very coarse straw, back headband of wide black felt. Flat pancake shape, crown halved from the back. From the front a wide, standing brim, which is turned back from the back and attached to the crown. On the right a peak like a flying bird of feathers. Fixed voile, provided with small puffs. Address: Marie Arnouts/Scheveningen.
