Mistletoe

The object consists of a foot, stem, nodus, and cup. A copper rim, consisting of six pieces, is soldered to the tinned copper foot from below. The lower stem part, the nodus, and the upper part are attached and riveted around the stem. The cup, placed on a yellow copper rosette, is made of red copper, hammered, and was tinned on the inside. The object is gilded, except for the underside of the foot. The foot has six lobes with an awkwardly engraved trefoil ornament in Gothic style and a Maltese cross. The foot tapers six-sided towards the center. The stem is also built up of six sides. The nodus has six facets, on which stylized four-leaf rosettes are engraved, and further six bulges with engraved trefoil decoration at the top and bottom. Furthermore, cast leaf borders are attached on both sides of the nodus.
