About this work
The candlestick is composed of two parts: the base and the stem with the candle holder. The stem with the holder are cast in two vertical halves, of which the casting seams are still visible on both sides. The flat square base has rounded chamfered corners and is provided with a slightly raised round rim towards the center. Thus this part can serve as a drip tray. The stem has a knop and a baluster widening towards the top, which in cross-section repeats the profile of the base. The cylindrical candle holder has a projecting raised rim.
