About this work

The extensively restored object is built up from a large number of parts, including the part made of copper sheet to mount the whole on a staff, the nodus made of copper sheet consisting of two halves and decorated with godrons, and the cross soldered on top, which has also been repaired many times on the back. The ends are decorated with French lilies in a vase-shaped foot, filled with engraved ornament. The halo attached at the intersection has a punched ornament. On the front is the crucified Christ. The abbreviation I.N.R.I. is partially broken off.
