BK-NM-3086<br>In the 17th century it was customary for everyone to carry their own knife or knives. Women hung them in a case on their belt. Not only the richly decorated knives of precious metal, but also the beautifully embroidered cases were a popular wedding gift.<br>The burning heart stamped in gold on the handle and two clasped hands are clear symbols of marriage.
