Five Scenes from Classical Mythology

Five glasses with scenes from classical mythology in a wooden frame. The glass farthest to the left: Orpheus plays a Renaissance violin; a deer and two dogs sit around him listening. The glass to the right of that: a man with spear and in classical armor, in combat with a dragon. The central glass: a man with a red cloth draped over his back pursues with a sword a female figure with wings instead of arms (probably a harpy, pursued by Boreas or Jason). The glass to the right of that: a woman, holding a frightened child in her arms, points to men with frog feet in a pool with reeds. (Probably the peasants whom the goddess Latona turned into frogs after they insulted her.) The glass farthest to the right: Hercules captures the bull of Crete. Hercules has pressed the bull's head to the ground and sits with his knee on its neck.
