About this work

Fragment of multicolored silk fabric, with an ochre ground (faded to salmon color). The pattern has lace-like garlands along which flower and vine tendrils grow. The garlands form fields containing a vase decorated with lacework holding a bouquet of flowers on a rosette with leaves and flower branches.
