Wall Clock Veneered with Walnut on an Oak Core. On the Sawn Vase-Shaped Dial Plate, the Open Consoles Are Attached, Supporting the Clock Case. The Case Features Profiled Foot and Cornice Mouldings, Swung Corner Posts, and Glass Doors on the Sides. The Dial Plate Is of Copper; Gilded Cast Cherubs Serve as Corner Pieces. The Backing Is of Black Velvet. The Case Has a Bell with an Atlas Figure on Top in the Center, and Cast Lead Pediments with Leafwork on the Front and Sides, Depicting on the Front a Woman with a Book (Faith) Standing on the Globe, with Death Holding a Scythe and Torch on the Left, and a Weeping Woman with an Hourglass on Her Head on the Right; Shield-Bearing Lions on the Sides, Under Which the Motto: "Now Each His Way". The Pendulum Appears in an Oval Opening of the Plate and Takes the Form of a Rider. Below the Plate, a Trumpeting Sea Nymph Is Attached. The Two Weights Hang on Chains.
