Two-armed candelabrum with Saint Christopher and the Christ Child

The candlestick is composed of the following parts: the foot, the stem with St. Christopher, the two drip pans and the two candleholders. The low round foot, decorated with grooved rings, ends in a foot ring. This has a raised rim at the top, so that the horizontal surface of the foot can serve as a drip pan. The foot rises towards the center and has a hole surrounded by a round rim, into which the stem is inserted. This is hexagonal at the bottom and provided with a base and a capital. On this stands the barefoot walking St. Christopher, who carries the Christ Child on his shoulders. The pedestal on which St. Christopher is placed has a projection into which the tree is inserted, which is screwed to the right arm of the saint. The tree has two branches, into which the candleholders on the drip pans are screwed at the ends. The saint wears a mantle reaching to the knees, the borders of which are granulated, and a belt, which is enlivened with roundels.
