About this work
Bowl with horizontal, shell-shaped handles. In the bowl a six-pointed star in a circle is engraved. The bowl has a foot ring. The brandy bowl is marked: maker's mark = Amsterdam, year mark = F (1740), maker's mark = Frederik van Strant II, the letter U (re-verified Middelburg) and an axe.
