About this work
The image consists of four cast parts, which have been chased or punched: Mary, her left hand with the Christ Child, her right hand, and the crown. The standing Mary is the largest part. She wears an overgarment held together by a girdle and a mantle. The figure is hollow and has openings at the top and bottom. The left hand with the Christ Child and the right hand are connected to Mary by a small screw. The right hand held a scepter, which is lost. The separate crown has three holes corresponding to the holes in Mary's head.
