About this work
Clay pipe bowl. The pipe bowl is part of a series of seven pipe bowls (BK-NM-6, BK-NM-5-1 to BK-NM-5-6), mounted on a card, bearing an inscription (G.H.W.5. and G.H.W.6: initials of the original collector Heinrich Gottfried Haasloop Werner (Kleve 16 April 1792–Elburg 29 September 1864), with serial numbers). Six bowls have part of a stem, one bowl has no stem.
