About this work

Wooden guitar case covered with red leather. On top a crowned coat of arms with three lilies surrounded by the order band of St. Michael. Leather stamped everywhere with lilies alternating with crowns above the letter L. Opening at the end with wire hinges. The lid stays closed by means of a decorative lock (buckle missing) and hook, both of iron, probably once gilded. Lining of pink quilted silk.
