About this work
Aker or decorative tassel, belonging to a set of fifteen akers or decorative tassels, including three pairs sewn or knotted on cords with round flat binding. The tassels vary in size and are made of linen thread tied in countless strands of knots and stiffened with starch paste. The tassels are composed of multiple layers of "bundles" with strands of knots. BK-NM-5448-5-A to O.
