About this work

Cap or calèche of brown twill cotton supported by four semi-circular baleens of wood or reed. The fabric is gathered over the baleens, creating the convex shape. The hem is formed by a 1.5 cm tunnel through which a brown satin ribbon is drawn, which ends in a flat bow in the middle back through a fringed, round opening. Lined with glazed pink cotton.
